I was unfortunate enough to stop and eat at this Tesco Extra Cafe at the weekend. At first glance the place looked very busy so the initial signs were good. However when we got to the counter they only had one person serving. This meant that the person had to plate up your food then take it to the till and take payment then go back to the next person in your party and do the same all over again. There were 3 people in our party so this took some time.
It didn't help that they did not have enough food on display so had to go into the kitchen and make some more meaning one of our party was waiting whilst the other two had to start eating. You unfortunatley could not wait for the other persons food to arrive as the food was only luke warm anyway.
I had the beef burrito which was absolutely tastless. The plates were really small so you couldn't even get that much food on them (which in my case was a blessing), and the childs portion was absolutely tiny (should have been called a baby portion). The prices themselves were not cheap for a cafe with the beef burrito, a very small salad and approx 10 potato wedges costing £4.95 which is way over priced for the amount and quality you actually received. Hardly "Every Little Helps" here!!!
Terrible service, terrible quality and way over priced. The place should be well avoided. Save your cash and have some decent food at the many pubs and cafes in the local area instead. Come on Tesco pull your finger out!! -

I just been to Tesco cafe Shrewsbury, ordered food, 3 breakfasts, two arrived but mine didn't, tried to ask staff but they were too busy serving other people, couldn't get to main desk in cafe because of long queue was taking too long, I am diabetic and was starting to feel I'll, hence going to cafe in first place, so had to make my way home,I'm am also disgusted that I paid for something I didn't get, I shall not b coming back in a hurry, I use Tesco's alot but won't b coming back to the cafe.
